Cannabis is not one experience
Products vary in THC, CBD, route, onset, duration and concentration. Labels and serving units may not translate into predictable individual effects. Previous experience does not guarantee the same response to a new product or setting.
THC and CBD are different—not opposites
THC is primarily responsible for intoxication. CBD does not produce the same intoxication, but can still have effects and medication interactions. CBD does not reliably neutralize every effect of THC.
Effects and impairment
Cannabis can affect attention, memory, coordination, reaction time, perception and judgment. Some people experience relaxation; others experience anxiety, panic, paranoia or unpleasant physical effects.
Feeling familiar with cannabis is not the same as being unimpaired.
Responsibility in real life
Responsibility includes the people and systems around a choice.
- Do not drive or operate equipment while impaired.
- Store products securely away from children and pets.
- Avoid mixing substances when interactions are uncertain.
- Consider health history and medications with qualified care.
- Know local laws, venue rules and workplace consequences.
